December 2025: Train the Leaders Workshop in Rochester, NY

APA VOICE conducted a “Train the Leaders” workshop in Rochester, NY with eight Asian American community-based groups and Senator Jeremy Cooney on the importance of starting 2030 Census planning and outreach now. The workshop was co-hosted with Asian Pacific American Public Affairs -Rochester (APAPA-Roc), Asian Pacific Islander Desi American of Rochester (apidaROC), Asian Pacific Islander American Association of Greater Rochester (APAA) and Young Asians Rochester. With a total of 23 organizational leaders in attendance, APA VOICE started to expand the 2030 APA Complete Count Committee (APA CCC) for New York. As a result of this workshop, five additional groups have joined the APA CCC:  APAPA-Roc, apidaROC, APAA, Wat Pa Lao Buddhadham Temple, and Filipino American Association of Rochester.
