APA VOICE hosting a panel at SOMOS Albany discussing the crucial role that immigrant youth play as civic anchors of their households. The panel, sponsored by Assemblymembers Steven Raga and Landon Dais, discussed the importance of passing legislation to empower young New Yorkers through the Student Voter Empowerment Act (S.2056/A.3854) and Vote 17 NY (S.3231/A.6590), the role youth will play in future elections, combatting fake media across platforms, and ensuring their immigrant communities complete the 2030 census; and building lasting Latino and AAPI civic power and solidarity.
